Want to Help Advance the Goals of our New England Chapter?
We aim to make APLD a household word.

Our goals are to maximize your membership by:  (1) directing potential clients to our 'Find a Designer' resource for their design needs and, (2) providing regional educational programs with CEUs to further our professional practice.   We also monitor legislation that might affect our livelihoods.
Who and What are we looking for?
We have immediate openings for several Members-at-Large as well as one Officer.
Following is a list of specific Members-at Large positions.
NOTE:  none of these positions requires attendance at all scheduled Board meetings, and all of these positions are reinforced with Board support.
Our Board meets monthly from November through March, then by e-mail or conference call as needed in other months.
(1)   A CEU Chair.  Prior to an event, an application is submitted to APLD national requesting CEUs for the event.  Once the CEUs are allocated, CEU certificates are distributed to attending members.  After the event, a list of certified attendees is created, which will be posted to our website.
(2)   An Events Chair.  The person in charge will assist the Board in planning and scheduling events such as our Master Design Series Dinner and Lecture, and our Annual Meeting.
(3)   A Sponsor Chair.  This person will contact current sponsors to renew, as well as follow up on leads from ELA and New England Grows.
(4)   A Communications Assistant Chair.  The tasks associated with this position are to assist with the creation of timely e-mail newsletters to our membership, as well as help with posters and advertising.
One Officer position available:
In addition to the above, the Board is currently in need of a Secretary.  This position requires taking minutes at Board meetings, and then distributing them to the other Board members in a timely way.  As an officer, this position earns three (3) CEUs for each year served.  The standard tenure for a Board position is two years.
